Go behind the scenes of this exclusive new storage facility and learn more about some of the hidden treasures contained within. In this second part of the Porsche ‘Museum Secrets’ mini series we take a look at some of the special editions contained in the collection including a prototype 928 and bullet proof 911 (type 996).
Porsche has managed to secure a building that dates back to the 1960s and has restored it to become the perfect location for the storage, maintenance and preservation of Porsche vehicles. The site acts as a hub as cars are rotated to and from events around the world.
There are 505 vehicles at the Porsche museum that represent 80 years of Porsche history and now they have a facility that has enough space to store all the vehicles under one roof.
The building is significant to the company as it is a key component to preserving Porsche’s history for generations to come. The site is not just a warehouse and it is not open to the public. It’s found in a secret location in the surrounding suburbs of Stuttgart.
