This Latest Panamera Turbo Executive Customization Proves You Can Get Anything You Like for a Price

Porsche is known for its special edition vehicles and exclusive models that are only available for the select few, and no we aren’t talking about standard Porsche vehicles. One new select model that Porsche is showing off is the Panamera Turbo Executive. This hot red hatch is exciting both inside and out, it packs some impressive power figures and it’s a car that I wouldn’t mind having sitting in my garage. Though the Executive itself is rare enough, this is actually a special edition of the vehicle by Porsche Exclusive, meaning it has even more special features to brag about.

Porsche Exclusive is a special segment of the company that specializes in bringing custom Porsche vehicles to life. If you have a special request that can’t be accommodated by the standard customization features for a particular Porsche vehicle, this department can help grant your wishes for a price. For instance, back in the 1950’s a customer had a Porsche 356 covered in fur for a very custom looking ride. Of course this probably isn’t something that you’d want done today (or maybe you do, we’re not judging!) but it just shows that the automaker is willing to customize the vehicle as much as you’d like them to if you have the cash to back up the wishes.

Custom Modifications

This latest entry from the Porsche Exclusive department offers some pretty cool customizations. The car comes equipped with a black and Bordeaux Red interior lined with custom leather and red stitching. The clock is red-faced and there is a set light-up doorsill guards made from carbon fiber. The key fob is also a matching red and black tone that helps complete that special custom look.

Getting Custom Designs in the States

In the old days customers concerned with ¬†getting a custom Porsche would have to hop on a flight over to Zuggenhausen or travel to Leipzig. That’s not necessary any longer. Now it’s possible to get all the customizations set up right at the Atlanta Experience Center, or in Los Angeles. The company also offers a car configurator tool, allowing you to adjust all the different features of a vehicle before finally meeting for the appointment.

This particular custom vehicle has a starting price of $161,050 with another $3,300 for the red paint job, another $6,000 for the SportDesign package, and we’re betting a bit more for the other enhancements throughout. It’s a small price to pay for a custom Porsche with both power and sophistication, and many people are willing to pay to get exactly what they are looking for.

The Four Cylinder Macan is Received Surprisingly Well

Porsche enthusiasts and experts alike weren’t too sure about the Macan when it first came out, and the mid-sized SUV created even more skeptics when a four-cylinder engine option was added as well, but all that skepticism is fading fast thanks to the positive reception that the 2017 Macan has been getting.

Surprisingly Powerful

Even though the 2017 Macan base model comes equipped with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, thanks to the turbocharger it’s surprisingly powerful. With 252 HP and 273 lb.-ft. of torque ¬†and a silky smooth 7-speed PDK dual-clutch configuration, this SUV offers snappy acceleration that’s worthy of a performance vehicle. Sure it’s not going to tear up any race tracks like more potent V6 variations of the Macan do, but for anyone that isn’t concerned with track numbers, the four-cylinder model makes a lot of sense. It’s more than fast enough for everyday driving, and is a good solution for drivers looking for something a bit more efficient.

The Macan Brings in Serious Customers

The Porsche Macan is an effective marketing tool for Porsche, like none of their other vehicles. That’s because it sells at a lower entry-level price than all the other vehicles in the lineup. It’s picking up brand-new customers that other models sold by Porsche simply cannot. After getting used to the Macan, it’s likely that many of those customers will move on to additional Porsche vehicles in the future as well. Either way, Porsche is bringing in a bunch of money from the Macan that it wasn’t getting from its other models and that can only be good for the automaker.

The Four Cylinder Receives a Good Response

Even though the Macan is mostly based around the six-cylinder power-house variation, there is a decent following for the four-cylinder model as well. So far it’s received a good response and many people heading to dealerships to buy the Macan are interested in the four-cylinder version of the vehicle.

A Long Future for the Macan

While many people thought the Macan would be a short-lived project before Porsche game back to its senses, the more successful that little SUV is, the more likely it’s going to have a long and rich future with the automaker. With small SUVs being so popular in the United States currently it will be very surprising if the Macan isn’t around for many years to come.

Porsche is already looking for new ways to improve the Macan and will likely continue releasing the innovative little SUV for generations to come, with both large and small engines. We might even see a full-electric or hybrid model in the years to come as electric vehicles increase in popularity.
